I can see the light at the end of the tunnel
The end of the semester is near. Only one more week of regulkar classes then time for finals. Here is my shubmission for this week. The studio lighting class I’m taking required me to recreate an environment in a specific time of day. I used a yellow orange gel over the flash and placed it low on the scene to give the objects in the scene longer shadows to represent morning. Its amazing to me just how tough studio photography can be. There is so much attention to detail that is needed. One of the biggest lessons I have learned is to get it right in the camera and not have to rely on photoshop later. Sure, I can photoshop with the best of them but its really satisfying to take an image off the card and see just a few things that need to be fine tuned rather than reworking the whole thing top to bottom. For my final I’m doing a series of shots based on hands. I plan to post them when I’m done.
